Regal Paint Centers Undercoats its Retail Operations with Epicor Eagle N Series Technology

Robust retail business management solution to support strategic growth plans

Epicor Software Corporation, a global provider of industry-specific enterprise software to promote business growth, announced today Regal Paint Centers has selected the Epicor® Eagle N Series® retail business management solution to improve operational efficiencies companywide and better manage the multi-location business.

Florida-based Regal Paint Centers was established in 1973. As one of the largest dealers of Benjamin Moore paint, the retailer has grown from a single shop to a 15-location paint supply business with aggressive expansion plans.

To support its forward-looking vision, Regal Paint Centers will replace its proprietary software system with the Epicor suite of retail technology solutions.

Better staffing decisions for improved customer service

Regal Paint Centers also looks to gain value from the intelligent workforce solution, Epicor Scheduling+. “We had a timeclock aspect included in our previous software, but it wasn’t cloud-based and it was missing a few key functional pieces,” said Caldwell. “We’re excited about the Epicor Scheduling+ tool and think it will be really advantageous for our business—especially when it comes to having the right number of staff servicing our customers and reducing related expenses. It takes workforce management to a brand new level.”

Inventory planning precision

With inventory management at the top-of-mind for improvement, Regal Paint Centers is keen on making dramatic changes through the use of Eagle N Series software. “Our inventory has been off both in counts and valuations for quite some time,” said Caldwell. “We are targeting a total makeover of our inventory best practices and through the utilization of the Eagle N Series system, and tools like Epicor Eagle Inventory Planner, we expect to be back on track in no time.”

“Additionally, we have had many challenges with shrinkage throughout all our locations,” continued Caldwell. “With improvements to the inventory management process—and, tighter controls overall— we also hope to reduce or eliminate shrinkage by $100,000 per year. We're optimistic that the transition to Epicor is going to be relatively painless.”
