New Epicor Eagle for the Automotive Aftermarket Software Designed to Help Businesses Drive Sales, Customer Satisfaction

New Software Version Includes Initial EMV ‘Chip Card’ Compatibility, Timesaving Inventory Management Features, and More

Epicor Software Corporation, a globalprovider of industry-specific enterprise software to promote business growth, todayintroduced a new version of its Epicor Eagle for the Automotive Aftermarketsoftware featuring dozens of additional business-building capabilities andother enhancements designed to drive sales growth and increased operationalefficiency for distributors and jobbers of automotive and commercial vehiclereplacement parts.

A majority of these enhancements arealso available to users of the optional, free Epicor Eagle N Series software interface, which offershighly streamlined process flows engineered to help users of all skill levelsleverage the full power of the Eagle software.

New features available through thelatest Eagle software cover virtually every functional area within a vehicleparts enterprise, from purchasing and inventory management to accounting andpoint of sale (POS) operations. Several new capabilities are designed to helpusers increase sales and enhance service levels, while others reduce theprocess steps and time needed to complete a variety of common tasks.

Among the leading new capabilities areEuropay, MasterCard, and Visa (EMV) “smart card” functionality for Eaglesoftware users who rely on the EpicorPayment Exchange orFirst Data credit card processing solutions. Smart card technology is quicklybecoming the predominant choice of U.S.-based banks. According to MasterCard,more than two-thirds of MasterCard-branded credit cards issued in the U.S. nowfeature embedded computer chips, an increase of 51 percent since October 1, 2015. The Payments Security Task Forceprojects that by the end of 2017 nearly all cards issued in the U.S. willfeature chip technology.

Also featured in the software is atimesaving new centralized workflow for Physical Inventory processes, with alltasks now consolidated into the Physical Inventory Posting (PIP) application. Ahelpful new PIP toolbar offers easy access to several new functions, whileusers also have significantly more flexibility in selecting and managing partsto be counted as part of the Physical Inventory process.

A new Vendor Report Card featureenables users to quickly move relevant data into the Epicor Compass analyticsapplication for a complete vendor performance analysis. This new capability isdesigned to help Eagle for the Automotive Aftermarket software users negotiatethe best possible terms and promote better service by showing vendors how wellthey are meeting key performance targets.
