Fisher Lumber to Boost Operational Excellence with Epicor BisTrack

Kansas-based, full-service lumberyard to implement powerful LBM software to simplify complex processes and streamline operations

Epicor Software Corporation, a global provider of industry-specific enterprise software to promote business growth, announced today Fisher Lumber Company has selected Epicor BisTrack™, the award-winning business management software for lumber and building materials (LBM) dealers and distributors, to bring a fully integrated, operationally centric system with mobile access to the entire operation.

Fisher Lumber, founded in 1955, is a family run business that has built its reputation on quality products and customer service. Today, the LBM dealer, owned and operated by the Fisher family, has three locations—two lumberyards and a 12,000 square foot showroom—spread throughout Kansas.

To keep up with the business’ guarantee of providing quality products, service, and competitive prices, Fisher Lumber will move from an antiquated system and implement the BisTrack solution.

Enhancing sales flow processes

Fisher Lumber will also leverage the integrated Epicor BisTrack Journey Planner and BisTrack Cloud tools to automate the sales, dispatch, and delivery processes. “Previously, orders were called into the yard by either contractors or outside salespeople. The orders were then written up by counter or office associates, placed into a dispatch and delivery system, and then dispatchers from both yards would set the delivery schedule. Occasionally, orders were missed or dispatchers crossed wires and multiple deliveries were set,” said Tremblay. “Now, with the integrated BisTrack Journey Planner module, we’ll eliminate manual entering and updating of orders—minimizing process interruptions and reducing calls to the dispatchers.”

“Through the use of BisTrack Cloud, our sales team will gain mobile access to the tools they need to track customer opportunities, respond to questions instantaneously, and close orders faster—decreasing requests into the office and increasing productivity,” continued Tremblay.
