Increased Security for Businesses and Consumers
According to a recent report by Trustwave, point of sale (POS) breaches accounted for 33 percent of the breaches the company investigated in 2013.1 Independent retailers can be confident knowing their customers' data is more secure with the new Epicor Transactional Security service integrated within the Eagle N Series POS system-providing increased security and privacy for consumers, ultimately rendering more engaged customers, enriched loyalty, and increased revenue generation.
The Epicor Transactional Security service accommodates secure credit card tokenization and can help drive faster PCI certification. Additionally, users of the latest version of Eagle N Series can now offer their iPhone® 6 and iPhone 6 Plus customers the option of paying with Apple Pay. The Transactional Security service from Epicor can also help to dramatically reduce risk for businesses and their customers by utilizing:
- Point-to-point encryption (P2PE) that will encrypt the consumer's credit card at the point of swipe or insertion. Decryption will occur at the Epicor payment gateway and then routed with another encryption to the processor. No credit card numbers are stored or processed
- Tokenization which creates a random token number to be used for each transaction in Eagle N Series POS that enables returns and credits
Simplified Solution to Outservice Competition
The latest version of Eagle N Series software, now available in North America, encompasses simplified and streamlined workflows to help businesses access rich functionality and intuitive information to easily manage their growing data and improve bottom-line performance. Other enhancements to the current version of Eagle N Series include:
- Embedded tools for analytics, support and learning
- New integrated Support Bar now enables quick access to Bomgar™ desktop sessions, as well as Epicor Training on Demand™, contextual Help, and Advice Line Chat
- Tablet POS capability features to support dynamic promotions and build customer loyalty
- Real-time, edit-in-place Epicor Eagle® Active Viewers and timesaving workflows to help users print labels, change prices, add customers, items and vendors faster
