Epicor Congratulates Humtown Products as a Winner in Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s SDCE 100 Top Supply Chain Projects for 2017

The “Headless Man” Project Recognized for Innovative Technology and Ingenuity

Epicor Software Corporation, a global provider of industry-specific enterprise software to promote business growth, today congratulated Epicor enterprise resource planning (ERP) customer Humtown Products as a recipient of a 2017 SDCE 100 award by Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the executive's user manual for successful supply and demand chain transformation.

Humtown Products, a family-owned company dedicated to serving the foundry industry, was recognized in the SDCE 100 for its “Headless Man” Project. In 2016, Humtown Products partnered with the Youngstown - Warren Regional Chamber, Freshmade 3D, and Youngstown State University to create a larger-than-life-size bobble head figure of a candidate for US President to showcase the latest manufacturing technologies, innovation, and craftsmanship as well as the speed and cost-effectiveness of 3D printing for rapid prototyping.

The SDCE 100 is an annual list of 100 great supply chain projects. These projects can serve as a map for supply chain executives who are looking for new opportunities to drive improvement in their own operations. These projects show how supply chain solution and service providers help their customers and clients achieve supply chain excellence and prepare their supply chains for success.

“We are honored to be named one of the Top 100 SDCE supply chain projects. I always say, if you don’t move with the technology, you’ll be run over by it. Partnering with Epicor has helped us stay in front of technology and deliver the highest quality products and services to our clients.”
Mark Lamoncha, President and CEO, Humtown Products

“Our goal with 2017’s Top 100 is to shine the spotlight on successful and innovative transformation projects that deliver bottom-line value to small, medium, and large enterprises across the supply chain,” says Ronnie Garrett, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “The selected projects can serve as a roadmap for supply chain executives looking for new opportunities to drive improvement in their own operations. We congratulate all of our winners for a job well done.”

“Congratulations to Humtown Products for its win in the 2017 SDCE 100 awards,” said, Terri Hiskey, vice president, manufacturing product marketing, Epicor Software. “The business has gained strong results through its use of Epicor ERP technology and has brought new visibility to the region’s proud manufacturing heritage. This recognition is a display of a solid industry partnership and we look forward to working with Humtown Products as it continues to promote next-generation manufacturing techniques.”
